Privacy policy

SeedhaHisaab collects the details you give us so we can answer your enquiry and carry out the work you hire us for. We share them only where a filing requires it or the law compels it. We do not sell them, and we do not use them for advertising.

The rest of this page sets out the detail, including the rights you have over your data and how to exercise them.

We collect two kinds of information: what you give us, and what your browser sends automatically.

• Enquiry details you submit through the contact form — your name, email address, phone number, the service you are asking about, and the message you write.
• Engagement information, where you become a client — identity and address documents, PAN and Aadhaar details, financial and business records, and anything else the specific filing requires.
• Technical information your browser sends when you visit — IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We use a short-lived record of your IP address only to rate-limit the contact form against spam.

Each category has a purpose, and we do not use it for anything else without asking you first.

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To carry out the professional services you engage us for, including preparing and submitting filings on the relevant government portal.
• To meet our own legal, statutory and professional record-keeping obligations.
• To protect the site against spam and abuse.

We share your information only where it is necessary, and only with:

• Government departments, registries and statutory portals, where the filing you have engaged us for requires the submission — for example the MCA, GST Network, the Income Tax Department or the Trade Marks Registry.
• Service providers who operate our infrastructure, such as our hosting and database providers, who process data on our instructions and are bound to keep it confidential.
• A court, regulator or authority, where we are legally compelled to disclose.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent, trade or share it with data brokers, advertisers or lead-generation networks. We do not use your engagement documents for any purpose other than the engagement itself.

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We set a cookie only in the administrative area of the site, to keep an authorised user signed in. It is strictly necessary for that function and is removed when you sign out.

Enquiries that do not become engagements are retained only as long as we may reasonably need to follow up, and are then deleted.

Client records are retained for as long as the applicable tax, corporate and professional regulations require us to hold them, and are then securely disposed of.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and held in access-controlled systems. Access within the practice is limited to the professionals working on your matter.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Under Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have rights over the personal data we hold about you.

• To ask what personal data we hold about you and why.
• To have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated.
• To ask us to erase data, where we are not required to retain it by law or professional obligation.
• To withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
• To nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
• To raise a grievance with us, and to escalate it to the Data Protection Board if you are not satisfied with our response.

Our services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

We update this policy as our practice or the law changes. Material changes will be reflected in the 'last updated' date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
