CFO Services
Most growing businesses need CFO judgement long before they can justify a CFO salary. This is that judgement on a retainer — someone who reads your numbers with you every month and tells you what they mean.

- Cash flow and runway
- Budgets and variance
- Pricing and unit economics
- Fundraise and lending readiness
- Monthly review call
“They set up our Private Limited in under two weeks and explained every form before we signed it. The fee never moved from the first quote.”

Overview
Best suited to. Businesses past the founder-does-the-books stage, companies preparing to raise or borrow, and owners who have accounts but no read on what they are saying.
How we price it. One fixed professional fee, agreed in writing before any work begins, with government fees and statutory charges itemised separately and payable at actuals. If the scope changes, we tell you before doing the work.
What’s included
- 01
Management reporting
A monthly pack that goes past the P&L — margin by line, cost trends, and the two or three numbers that actually move your business.
- 02
Cash flow and runway
A rolling forecast, so you see a squeeze months before it arrives rather than the week it does.
- 03
Budgets and variance
An annual budget built with you, then actuals against it every month with the variances explained.
- 04
Pricing and unit economics
What each product, service or customer actually costs and earns, which is usually where the surprises are.
- 05
Fundraise and lending readiness
The data room, the model and the diligence questions worked through before an investor or bank asks.
- 06
Monthly review call
An hour with a qualified professional, on your numbers, with decisions taken rather than reports emailed.
Documents required
Collected once, digitally. We check the whole set before anything is filed — document problems are what turn a two-week job into a six-week one.
To get started
- Last two years of financial statements
- Current-year books or trial balance
- Bank statements and loan schedules
- Sales data by product, service or customer
Ongoing
- Monthly closed books, or bookkeeping handled by us
- Pipeline and order book, where relevant
- Headcount and payroll cost plan
- Any planned capital expenditure or fundraise
How it works
- Step 01
Diagnostic
We read your last two years and current position, then tell you what is actually worth fixing first.
- Step 02
Reporting built
A management pack designed around your business, not a generic template.
- Step 03
Monthly rhythm
Books closed, pack issued, review call held — the same dates every month.
- Step 04
Decisions supported
Pricing, hiring, borrowing and fundraising decisions worked through with the numbers in front of you.
Questions
Q1How is this different from an accountant?
An accountant records what happened and files it. A virtual CFO uses that record to help you decide what to do next — pricing, hiring, borrowing, where the margin is leaking. Both matter, and they are different jobs.
Q2At what size does this make sense?
Usually once you are past the point where the founder can hold the numbers in their head, and before you can justify a full-time senior hire. If you are not there yet, we will say so.
Q3Can you work with my existing accountant?
Yes, and often that is the better arrangement. We work on top of whoever keeps your books, provided the books are reliable enough to build on.
Q4Can you also audit us?
No. Independence rules mean the person advising on and preparing your numbers should not audit them. We will work alongside your statutory auditor.
