Income Tax Return Filing

A return is not a data-entry job. Choosing the right form, the right regime and the right head of income is what decides whether you overpay, and whether you get a notice next year.

This engagement covers

  • Correct form and heads
  • Regime comparison
  • 26AS and AIS reconciliation
  • Capital gains
  • Advance tax
  • Notices and rectification
They set up our Private Limited in under two weeks and explained every form before we signed it. The fee never moved from the first quote.

Overview

Best suited to. Salaried individuals with capital gains or multiple income sources, professionals and freelancers, proprietors, firms and companies.

How we price it. One fixed professional fee, agreed in writing before any work begins, with government fees and statutory charges itemised separately and payable at actuals. If the scope changes, we tell you before doing the work.

§02

What’s included

  1. 01

    Correct form and heads

ITR-1 through ITR-7, with income classified under the right head. Getting this wrong is the usual cause of a defective return notice.

  2. 02

    Regime comparison

Old regime against new, computed on your actual numbers, so the choice is a calculation rather than a guess.

  3. 03

    26AS and AIS reconciliation

Your return matched against what the department already knows. Mismatches are what trigger notices.

  4. 04

    Capital gains

Equity, mutual funds, property and unlisted shares, with indexation and exemptions applied where available.

  5. 05

    Advance tax

Quarterly liability computed in advance so you are not paying interest under sections 234B and 234C.

  6. 06

    Notices and rectification

Responses to intimation under section 143(1), rectification and revised returns where required.

§03

Documents required

Collected once, digitally. We check the whole set before anything is filed — document problems are what turn a two-week job into a six-week one.

Income

  • Form 16 from each employer
  • Bank interest certificates and Form 16A
  • Capital gains statement from your broker or fund house
  • Rental income details and property tax paid
  • Books or profit and loss, for business and professional income

Deductions and identity

  • PAN and Aadhaar
  • Investment proofs under sections 80C, 80D and others
  • Home loan interest and principal certificate
  • Bank account details for refund
§04

How it works

  1. Step 01

    Documents collected

One list, sent once — specific to your situation, not a generic checklist.

  2. Step 02

    Computation and regime

Income computed under both regimes, with the better outcome shown to you in rupees.

  3. Step 03

    Review and approval

You see the full computation and tax position before anything is submitted.

  4. Step 04

    Filed and verified

Return filed and e-verified, with acknowledgement and computation sheet sent to you.

Questions

Q1Which ITR form applies to me?

It depends on your income sources and status. Filing the wrong form gets the return treated as defective under section 139(9). We select it as part of the engagement.

Q2Old regime or new regime?

Entirely dependent on your deductions. Significant 80C, 80D, HRA and home loan interest usually favour the old regime; few deductions usually favour the new one. We compute both and show you the difference.

Q3I missed the due date. Can I still file?

Yes. A belated return can be filed within the window under section 139(4), with a late fee under section 234F and interest on unpaid tax. Some loss carry-forward benefits are lost, so file quickly.

Q4I got a notice. Can you handle it?

Yes. Intimations under section 143(1), mismatch queries and rectifications are handled by the same professional who prepared your return, at a fee quoted before the work starts.
